I’m sad you guys didn’t start with part 2
Never have CinemaWins has done anything like this and I appreciate you guys for explaining this to better understand your videos. Thanks and I am still confused.
He should have tinted the entire thing blue, but he can’t, because this isn’t in reverse, he made it this way so someone inverted couldn’t watch this anyway, so why is zero before 2 and after 1? A little nod to how they invert halfway through the movie I guess
I have no idea what this means
i’m confused which one is the first one
but really what's the point when someone else has to explain the damn plot of the fucking movie which it itself can't explain
Man, fuck this movie.
im more confused now after watching this video, than i was before i knew anything about the movie
Can you pwisssssss make everything great about MIB please
Hey you should definitely do an EGA Interstellar. Great movie and I think its a perfect movie for you to do one on
Ughh! Its memento happening all over again!
My brain hates this movie and it hates me for thinking its finally going to “click”
Here's a thing: When I first got a video of yours recommented, I didn't like the idea at all. I didn't watch Cinemasins but I like knew it existed, and this video format just seemed like that one person who doesn't get the sarcasm of a joke and takes it seriousely, you know what I mean? Like, when I say something like "I am so stupid", that person tries to convince me that I am great and starts to tell me everything great about me. But this channel really surprised me, because even this complementing is made with sarcasm and I honestely love this channel and the only flaw of it is, that it doesn't have more videos.
Could you do one about troy (2004) one my favourites of all time
Should I watch this or part 1 first lol
the temporal pincer movement was by far the most confusing stuff ive ever seen in cinema
"Part 0" I caught that joke
Uh... I still don't get it. Sorry.
This movie is nothing but Plot, Plot Plot. We gotta get the doomsday device. We Gotta stop the Bomb! RUN RUN RUN! Bombs gonna go off, I'm the Protagonist... Cool... What do you do? I'm the Protagonist. Cool... What personal stake do you have in this story? I like Hot sauce. Then back to bombs gonna go off. Bombs gonna explode. This is bad writing.

Please do a video about Dunkirk
Okay so at 3:38 you say that Neil's undecayed body might be there to find for the future guys when they try to retreive the algorithm. This doesn't happen because moving forward in time Neil actually comes to life runs backward into the turnstile and disappears for good. Since he is inverted and dies he can't make it to a turnstile to un-invert himself. So he doesn't exist into the future anymore.
Great explanation, sums it up really well. About Neil's undecayed corpse 300 years in the future: not really. Remember, to unlock the door and save the protagonist, he inverted. Some point after the battle in Stalsk-12, it seems. When someone enters the turnstile, their bodies vanish to anyone observing them, and the person who inverted is not seen again from that point on (unless they re-invert and enough time passes from that point). What you shouldn't be think about is that Neil's body is decaying in reverse. So, let's say that the hypocenter was built 40 years ago. At some point, 2010's or something, a skeleton forms from ashes, decayed flesh appears, its skin, hair and eyes forms again, followed by a military uniform that covers it.... you know the rest. Yeah, Tenet could be a horror movie
"Part 0" I caught that joke
To all of those of you who risked your life to see this film in Theaters, you know, others will never understand but you know
I love time travel capers; this one's gonna break me. I look forward to it.

Still don't get it lol, guess its one of those movies you have to watch to understand
Does 'the protagonist' not have a name?
If you think about it... Neil seizes to exist because in reverse time, we see him taking the bullet for the Protagonist and dying in reverse for the rest of eternity while he slowly rots and decays. But in forward time he is already dead, and is slowly un-rotting and un-decaying, until the point where he jumps back up from the dead, and "re takes the bullet" for the Protagonist, unlocks the door, and runs out of the cave backwards, and we can assume he runs back into the turnstile and disappears forever... (unless someone is inverted during that moment, so in their perspective 2 Neil's would be running out that turnstile out of nowhere, one of them would be backwards (in their perspective) and the other Neil would look normal and would go inside the cave, unlock the door, and take the bullet for the Protagonist, and his body would slowly decay from that point on.)
The fact you have to explain a movie is kind of a bummer.. proves the point a lot of people that went to see tenet came out more confused than enthused.
you did it you made me get every little bit of the feeling of comprehending this movie and shattered it into thirteen trillion pieces I have now accepted that I know nothing at all
The people have spoken ....Biggest waste of money ever .......a true Flop ....
I appreciate the quick catch-up you did here, only it's so fast I'm having trouble keeping up, especially with the movie scenes playing :D
Neil was there in the first scene, he was hired by protagonist, and Neil was his future self? How did Protagonist contact Neil who contacted past Protagonist without anything going backwards when future and present crossed and Neil understood everything without hearing words like Zatana is commencing her spell and talking backwards, or manage to understand it?

@bcvbb hyui I think I tried, but my head is now spinning, and is carrying my shoulders with it in reverse.

Did. . . Did you just make sense of this movie?
One thing that I think led to a lot of confusion and should have been explained in the movie is: how do they get inverted all the way back to stalsk-12 battle, there's no mention of turnstyles back then, and later on they even say that they don't have any (which is why they have to go un-reverse in oslo to save Kat) and it couldn't have been through the oslo airport because sator was controlling that facility before then.
Um, ok... got it... fml
Please do a video about Dunkirk
The more it's explained the less I understand. I feel like nolan knew this would happen.
WOW I was not expecting part 0! Thank you! A genuine surprise!
Still cant get it. Please explain in ukrainian
This cleared it up for me more than others have I think but I'll still need to watch it multiple times to understand more lol
Still don't get it lol, guess its one of those movies you have to watch to understand
Um Actually, Neil's body is inverted so it's traveling backwards in time and therefore would be there before and while the tunnel is being constructed. Figure out when in the past would his corpse be fully decomposed?

@Rock girl By reversing through time?

Now. Tell us how they got a time reversing machine in the first place.
The most confusing part is trying to understand everyone’s perspective at one time while inverted individuals are involved.

Okay, I got it! But also...huh? 😣
First of all I’m a big fan of your videos. I learned to look at different aspects of film making because of your videos . But I feel like with tenet the plot is simply convoluted for the sake of being convoluted . It’s visually gorgeous and stylish but if your explanation of the plot in this video comes out just as confusing as the movie itself . Trying to explain how the plot isn’t that confusing is redundant
please do ww 1984
A film that is made just to explain itself through multiple viewings if not a good film. It may still be fun to watch, but tells us nothing other than how clever the producers can be.
2:19 ......... I watched this movie three times in IMAX, saw the same magic trick; yet, I NEVER SAW IT! I am filled with the urge to backhand someone and kiss them at the same time.
Did. . . Did you just make sense of this movie?
Wow
Well done on this difficult piece. I was lucky enough to see this in the cinema 3 times. Here in Australia, we have been able to go to the cinema with covid safe rules since August. The only problem is there are not many movies to see. I understand why Nolan was so insistent about releasing this in the cinema. It’s an amazing, immersive experience. Such a shame so many missed out. Without the initial experience of immersive sight and sound many people have dismissed it. But boy are they missing something. It’s awards worthy but will be overlooked for more accessible streaming era films.
Lol still a bit confused
0:20 I love reference uses when they're in context HAHAHA
More confusing that inception at this point
It's not 100k+ views... It's a hundred idiots like me watching it a thousand times each.
nolan did something I haven't seen in years, created a film that benefits from repeat viewings.. everything is so digestible and shallow these days, and the "critical" reception reflects this, a whole lot of "I didn't get it on the first pass so it's a failure" .. at least there's one filmmaker out there who still cares about cinema as an artform and not a pandering cashgrab
?
Now. Tell us how they got a time reversing machine in the first place.
Yeaahhhh I still need to watch this movie at least two more times. Some of the inverted as time is going forward things are a little too well hidden.
Is there a channel that reviews scores/soundtracks the way you do to movies? I know you usually cover scores during your videos, but I'm wondering if there's a channel that does scores exclusively?
just see that the dead drop is empty and send some comms back in time and say “Hey Sator, buddy... Didn’t work”
Ngl that hury my head
I'm glad that you did this. However, I'm still lost. I think this might be one movie where I'll need to watch it to understand it....probably a couple of times. Thank you though!
I've got to give you props for inverting (sorta) the thumbnails between part 1 and part 2. I just noticed that, and it's pretty cool detail

Still lost, still love the movie
Still don’t understand this movie.
Damn I hated this movie. Thank you CinemaWins for talking about it though, it was interesting to hear a different opinion!
How am I still confused and understand. 🤣🤣🤣🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Thank you for this.
Damn. I think I've watched all Tenet explained-videos on NOlocal, but none explained the plot as well as this!
"It seems to run on some form of Electricity"
Wait a minute, what?
I personally think the most important line of the entire movie is towards the end when Neil says "What's happened, happened. It's an expression of faith in the mechanics of our world. It's not an excuse to do nothing." Nothing that happens in this movie comes out of nowhere, it has already happened. Just because that is the truth, doesn't mean you just need to accept your fate. You can always change the future by altering your present self.

I like that interpretation
Please do Memento 😊
Me this whole video: what?
I always wondered who they were fighting at Stalsk-12 and thought I understood the film and that they were just generic bad guys. I finally realise it’s the men going to retrieve the algorithm, who are there even though it hasn’t been buried yet! Thank you for filling in this part for me!

They weren't tho, those were sator's men
I'm still convinced Christopher Nolan got his idea for Tenet playing around on instagram with the boomerang effect...
This whole operation's a temporal pincer
I was fortunate enough to have my first viewing of this movie be with subtitles, so for the most part by the end I understood everything. I just didn't have prior knowledge of the SATOR square.
I’m confusion... still!
Tenet is my second favorite movie. Right behind Prisoner by Denis Villeneuve. Thanks for giving it even more recognition for the masterpiece of filmmaking that it is.
Right, now I need to watch the movie again for the 4th time
Review "Anastasia" please!!! this is soo much underrated cartoon.
Did anyone else get a Tenet style ad about a Covid vaccine ? Lmao
Nobody: Literally nobody: Him: so that’s pretty much it
If they did a 2nd movie about meeting Neil and like recruiting and becoming close friends would it be a prequel or a sequel to this movie?
Amazing summary. Can't wait to dig in on your analysis of the movie/ pointing out all the reasons why it's soo good!
I...I don't know if this helped me but I still love this video and this movie
Almost missed this video to request for La La Land and Django Unchained
...I just had the whole movie explained, I still don’t understand anything. ...might make more sense when I watch the film...
The plot is more complicated than the inversion.
3:48 you're actually wrong on this part because we do know: it wasn't planned to heal Kat, the protagonist chose to go back in time
I thought i understood it before but you explain so much I actually hadn't thought of, Thanks!
PLEASE DO THE CREED MOVIES
Ok so I loved the movie, and loved these videos. I think I mostly understand what's going on, but I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't get the scene on the boat, where Kat kills Staor. I really don't understand the set up with the sunscreen and all. Can someone please explain? :(
I always enjoy your take on movies I love and movies I thought I hated!
2:47 I saw many explanatory videos, but no one has ever mentioned that there are 3 versions of protagonist throple(Progtaganist, Neil, Kat) at the same location, nearly within the radius of 500m. Let me explain, see the time stamp, you see the ambulance driven by the protagonist with Neil and Kat on the back after completing their heist to save Kat, in the background, u see two people walking the stretcher, guess who those are, you are right, and original protagonist pair(the protagonist and Neil) are inside Rotas with their own heist mission and discovering turnstiles! Mind is blown right, Nolan you genius!
I thought the title was a smart reference :(
It is not necessary to understand the details to enjoy the movie
1:57 no? they dont asume that? atleast i dont think they think sator got it, they broke into the freeport to to steal/destroy the art work and try and find whatever inverted munitions sator has, instead he finds a turnstyle and his future self(he didnt know at the time), he even says afterwards he thought he would find a drawing and a box of bullets. Also later when he goes to steal the "plutonium" from the russian transport he knew it would be in transit as he was at the opera
Just one major plot hole that makes this movie fall apart: The plan for the capsule to be buried for Sator’s affiliates in the future to open from the future. Those future guys would just see that the dead drop is empty and send some comms back in time and say “Hey Sator, buddy... Didn’t work”
