I find it bizarre that rich dudes can buy a top fuel dragster that goes 0-330 mph in 4.5 seconds. 4.5 seconds. But they don’t do well cruising past the casino. Nearly impossible for the valet to get it parked.

When he described the “dimples” but really meant “bubbles” did he have the tech backwards? I thought the bubbles would decrease laminar flow and in turn decrease downforce and drag. Deflating the bubbles would allow greater laminar flow. This would keep the airflow tight to the body so it could flow over the rear wing. Doing so would increase drag and also increase downforce. Would someone who truly understands fluid dynamics explain this to me?

Honestly, put an I4 tdi in there. Id love to see diesels in lmp, like the old r8 tdi lmp cars.

huumm I think you're mistaken about the aerodynamics, the flow is not meant to be detached, if the flow is detached it creates more drag, vortexes are generated in order to keep the flow ATTACHED!
