Awesome design outside and inside, some nice innovations and impressive specs overall. However, I think you are a bit over excited as, in my view: - it looks compact but in fact it is quite big - claimed range/consumption slightly worse than VW ID4 - prices are apparently not very attractive

looks fantastic, cannot wait to see the test drive, the one thing I hate about all companies at the moment is they do not show much detail of the rear seats in their promotional material. I want to see the rear seats before the front, as I have 3 children, ensuring they have enough space on long journeys is important. a lot of cars have the drop down arm rest in the middle of the rear seat, and this can make it so uncomfortable for who ever draws the short straw.

To me it's very simple EV's can take over when the approach to them is simplified. Think Ford Model T for a moment. Make an EV for the common man with good range decent performance and an affordable price. Not everyone can buy or need a technological marvel of a supercar to show off. For that reason such a successful vehicle can only come from a practical thinking company and not Tesla- Rivian and the like.

Oh yes, because literally thousands of Hyundai electric cars burst into flames every minute, unlike the 189,500 highway vehicle fires reported in the United States in 2019. Let's just ignore that and keep on burning fossil fuel in rattling crap boxes (otherwise known as normal cars) for another 100 years.

Sorry, I do not care how good-looking or what quality the legacy car producers are I personally will never buy any form of car from them again keeping us on the oil needle for over 100 years. They are building in failing parts on purpus into their cars so shops and pars shops can get extra uneasy work from you pretending they are giving service and you the customer just have to keep on going back to them to waste your money, your time, your effort, constantly fixing shit that is build to break. So basically no thank you think about it how many parts are in there that they build in to fail.

Shut up and take my money" (insert Futurama, Fry meme here) 😅 Sadly though, years passed before I finally got the chance to actually buy one... Which I did... The Ionic 5 provokes the same reaction... Kind of... If it comes to market with camera mirrors, fake wood interior (like in the honda e) rather than glossy plastic, I may sell off some of my internal organs to buy one 😄 If I don't stumble upon a pot of gold somewhere near a rainbow first... 😁 Absolute gem amongst gray lumps of anonymity, I love the Ionic 5 design!!

I only wish I could afford the EV cars but I don't drive enough to make it worth the extra cost they charge in the U.S. Now, if gas prices keep going up, that may play into a different scenario. It all depends on my financial situation comes November. I'm sure the Ioniq 5 will be over $40,000 in the U.S. which is still $10K more than the EV Kona and out of my price range (even if they lease them). Enjoyed your video!

Vehicle to load is something that should be a standard in EV's... makes so much sense... any idea what capacity it is? To be able to power a cooker must be reasonably high? Also - vehicle to off-grid house is something which should be possible from an EV with a decent capacity... then you could have a 'powerwall' in your house and whilst you may usually charge from wind or solar (or even pico hydro) you could top it up from your car if need be :D
